Established in 2010, Clayton State University’s Presidential Scholars receive special recognition and additional financial resources as a result of their superior high school academic achievement and their commitment to continued progress through higher education. To be considered for the competitive Presidential Scholars program, prospective students must apply for admission to Clayton State University as first-time traditional freshmen and must submit an additional application (including an essay) and meet Honors Program eligibility qualifications. Program applicants who are considered finalists also undergo mandatory formal interviews which are scheduled for Friday, March 29, 2013.

Presidential Scholars are required to participate in the
University’s Honors Program, perform 30 hours of university assigned service per academic year, and live in university housing (Laker Hall for the first year and Clayton Station thereafter). For more information

The deadline for 2013-2014 Presidential Scholarship applications has passed. Thank you for your interest! High school seniors who will graduate in 2014 and enter college in Fall Semester 2014 should check back in September 2013 for an updated application for the 2014-2015 Presidential Scholarship. |
